How We Start FLAIR
At FLAIR, we believe in striking for excellence. Founded by Mr. Trevor WU, our brand is dedicated to unleashing the potential within every individual. Trevor started practicing aerobic gymnastics in university and discovered there were insufficient support from the footwear available in the market. Began with a design thinking approach, emphasising empathy, creativity & innovation. With a champions user research worldwide allows us to understand and respond to the unique needs of the users of the sports, ensuring that the every piece we create resonates with the nature of gymnastics - athletic & artistic.
The Vision
FLAIR’s journey began with a simple idea: to unleash human potential through gymnastics science innovation. Growing up, Trevor was inspired by artists with vibrant cultures and diverse styles around him. With a strong background in sports science from university and elite gymnast training experience from the national team, Trevor is also a licensed functional strength coach & neuro kinectic therapy practitioner from the US authorities, orthotics specialist of the international college of biomechanics from Australia authority. This inspiration sparked a desire to curate a collection that not only stands out but also feels authentic. FLAIR was born from this vision—a brand that uplifting lives from body, mind & soul while making high-quality sports accessible to everyone.

The Beginning of a Movement
FLAIR was founded with a vision to redefine human movement through gymnastics and sports science. We began our journey by initiating a global user research project, gathering insights from athletes worldwide to guide our product and program development.
Birth of FLAIR Talaria
We completed the prototype of FLAIR Talaria, our signature gymnastics shoe designed through international collaboration with elite athletes — a key step in building champion-driven performance gear.
Building Foundations and Partnerships
We launched FLAIR Gymnasium, our first training facility rooted in gymnastics science coaching. This year also marked our official partnerships with GYMNOVA, Myproten, and Mandoka, establishing strong collaborations in gymnastics equipment, performance nutrition, and apparel innovation.
Expanding Expertise and Reach
We expanded our reach by setting up a satellite training base on the Hong Kong Island side and officially established FLAIR Sport Medicine, our specialized sports therapy and recovery unit in exclusive partnership with Beyond Dance Theater (BDT), dedicated to injury prevention and performance care.
Recognized for Social Impact
We were honored with the EASE (Education And Social Entrepreneurs) Fund award at K11 ATELIER Victoria Dockside, supported by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau and assessed by The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), recognizing our social impact through knowledge transfer (KT) from the University & research outcomes into real applications to benefit the society.
Identity, Innovation, and Integration
We set up our custom-orthotic therapy and practicum with the Posturepedic Lab, integrating orthopedic research and training science into our athlete development approach. We also established the Kowloon East satellite training base to support even more athletes, and officially unveiled the FLAIR brand identity, marking a new era of innovation and holistic athletic excellence.
Going Global with FLAIR eShop
We launched the FLAIR eShop, making our professional-grade gymnastics shoes, leotards, orthotics, and performance apparel available online with worldwide shipping, bringing our products to gymnasts and athletes across the globe.
